American Junior Golf Association Scholarships

The American Junior Golf Association organization is dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA not only takes great pride in its commitment to the growth and development of its members, but also junior golfers at the grassroots level across the country. The AJGA strives to make contributions to local junior golf charities in each community that hosts an event.

Cecelia Woods Ocular Melanoma Foundation

In February 2010, Cecelia Woods, was diagnosed with uveal malignant ocular melanoma. During routine testing and photos a pigmented mass was found in the macula. Fortunately, her tumor was very small and caught in its early stage. She has been through various surgeries and has undergone specialized treatments and radiation therapy. For the next five years she will return every six months for monitoring.

The financial burden from the costs of the specialized treatment combined with the travel expenses is significant. Mrs. Woods children, Alicia Taylor and her brother, established the Cecelia Woods Foundation to benefit not only their mother but also to help other patients and to educate physicians about this rare disease. Luckily, in Mrs. Woods case the tumor was discovered early and was treated. In most cases, patients are diagnosed incorrectly because physicians are not familiar with this rare disease.

The Cecelia Woods Foundation is committed to introducing and educating people about Ocular Melanoma. We also offer our support to patients, their families, and physicians. Envision EMI is a Platinum sponsor of the 1st Annual Fight and Win aganist Ocular Melanoma Golf Tournament to benefit the Cecelia Woods Ocular Melanoma Foundation.
